additional suggested guidelines

  1. Do not use the words "Scotch" or "Scotch-style" in relation to an Ozark Highlands spirit.
  2. Do not use the words "Highland," "Highlands" or "Highland-style" as a standalone word in relation to an Ozark Highlands spirit.
  3. Make sure that both words in "Ozark Highlands" are the same size and used together at all times in relation to an Ozark Highlands spirit.
  4. Always use the "e" in "whiskey" in relation to an Ozark Highlands whiskey.
  5. Remember, the Ozark Highlands has a unique and distinct 200-year-plus history of distilling and spirits. Using the complete descriptor of "Ozark Highlands" every time ensures no consumer confusion regarding the source location of the spirits.
